Residential Parking Permits
The Town’s Resident Parking Permit Program allows drivers to park in any metered or designated resident parking permit space for up to three hours.
The cost is $64.20 for residents under 65, and $53.50 for residents over the age of 65. The annual parking permit is good from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30, 2022.
To be eligible for the parking permit, you residents must live in Town or be an annual renter. Permits are only available at Town Hall, 4501 N. Ocean Drive. When applying, please bring your Drivers License and a valid Vehicle Registration. If you rent, you need to bring your annual apartment, home or condo rental agreement. If you own property, the Town will verify your residence online at the Broward Property Appraiser’s website.
There are three ways to send in your Resident Parking Permit application. First make copies of your Drivers License and Vehicle Registration. Fill out the Parking Permit Application (this is a fillable form).

PARKING IN TOWN
Parking Against Traffic Prohibited
Florida law requires drivers to park in the direction of traffic flow, which prohibits you from backing into angled parking spaces. If you back your vehicle into an angled parking spot anywhere in the Town, you will be cited for illegal parking.
Park Within the White Lines
The lines for all parking spaces are painted white. You will be cited if your vehicle is not within the lines of the parking space.
Drivers with valid Handicap Parking stickers can park for free in any metered parking spot in Town for up to 4 hours. You can only park in metered spaces, not spaces marked Resident Permit Only or spaces with any other restrictions.
Pay By Plate Parking Meters
While in Town, use our convenient Pay-By-Plate parking system with 820 parking spaces at 28 separate locations. The only exceptions are the South Ocean Lot and spaces along El Mar Drive at Palm Ave, which require space numbers instead of your license plate number
You have two options:
Pay at the meter:
- Cash and credit card at pay stations.
- Coins at parking meters.
Or Pay-By-Phone App on your iOS or Android phone
