The Lauderdale-By-The-Sea Woman's Club on Thursday (Jan. 17, 2019) held a re-dedication ceremony for its club headquarters on West Tradewinds Avenue. Mayor Chris Vincent and Commissioner Edmund Malkoon attended the event along with more than two dozen Woman's Club members and their guests. Club President Vicki Lynch talked about the history of the club and its charitable work in the community. The groundbreaking for the current club building took place in 1956, when the landscape was mangrove winderness. The Woman's Club is the oldest civic organization in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea.
